How to choose between roller slide rail, steel ball slide rail and buffer slide rail?

Drawer slides play an important role in modern kitchen design, and their type and material selection directly affect the quality and performance of the drawer. Here’s an introduction to the different types and materials of drawer slides:

1. Bottom slide:
Also known as buffer slide rail, damping slide rail, or silent slide rail, the bottom slide rail is located at the bottom of the drawer. It usually has a rebound function and can withstand the weight of the drawer, ensuring that the drawer runs smoothly and makes no noise when closing. This kind of slide is also called an invisible slide because it can be well hidden inside the drawer without affecting the appearance.

The commonly used material is wear-resistant nylon, which can ensure that the drawer opens and closes smoothly and quietly, and has a soft rebound effect. Many high-end furniture uses this type of slide rail to provide a silent experience, but the price is relatively higher.

2. Side-mounted slide rail:
Also known as steel ball slides or ball slides, side-mounted slides are usually made of metal and come in different widths, such as 17, 27, 35, and 45 mm. They are usually installed on the side of the drawer, are relatively simple to install, and take up less space.
High-quality side-mounted slide rails can ensure smooth pushing and pulling of drawers and have high load-bearing capacity. This is the type of slide commonly used in mid-range furniture and is priced at a moderate price. This is our main product.

3. Roller slide:
Also known as powder spray slide rail, its structure is relatively simple, consisting of a pulley and two rails. The roller slide is suitable for daily pushing and pulling needs, but has poor load-bearing capacity and does not have a rebound function. This type of slide rail is relatively cheap and economical.

Overall, choosing the right drawer slides for your needs comes down to personal circumstances. If you are pursuing quietness and high quality, you can choose bottom slide rails, especially wear-resistant nylon slide rails. If you want a mid-priced option with good quality, side-mounted slides are a good choice. And if you pay more attention to the economy, roller slides may be a more suitable choice. Ultimately, choosing the type of slide should be determined by your needs and budget.
